Each Tabitha Jacket is mindfully patch-worked together using naturally dyed linen, making each jacket completely one-of-a-kind.

Jacket #2 is dyed with Cutch which comes from a small thorny tree of the Leguminosae family and is native to Asia. The trees are grown in plantations and are cut when they are thirty years old. The bark is removed and then the heartwood is made into wood chips. The dye is extracted by boiling the wood chips in water until the liquid becomes very thick. It is then poured onto mats where the cutch extract hardens as it cools down and can be broken into chunks.

Carefully quilted onto breathable, pure wool batting and lined with Organic Cotton Sherpa Knit fabric, the Tabitha jacket is machine washable making it super easy to care for.

Care: I recommend spot cleaning with natural detergent and line drying in the shade. Each jacket has been pre-washed so no shrinkage should occur. If your jacket needs a complete wash, use a mild natural detergent, cold machine wash on delicate/ hand-wash cycle, and line dry in the shade to avoid sun bleaching of the linen. Your jacket can be ironed with a warm-hot iron if needed to get out some of the wrinkles.
